It's me..

...at LNGS!
...after LNGS!
Hello, Misterious Traveller!
I'm Alberto. I was born in 1960, April 22nd, in Arpino (County FR), homeplace of Cicerone and Caio Mario. I used to live in Isola del Liri (FR), but now I've been living in L'Aquila since 1992.
I'm one of the spiders that look after the LNGS WEB, the cobweb you are walking on. I stitch up the lines in order to prevent heavy travellers from falling down into the Nothing...
Once upon a time, a gipsy told me that, in my previous life, I had been a chinese grave-digger. Take care! "Statv'akkuort!" (Naples slang...).
My first job was at "La Sapienza" University of Rome as (unpaid) programmer. Since I needed money (it took me 2 years to realize this...), I successfully started working for a nice little Company (Grazie Antonio!) in Turin; but, then, I tried working for one of the most important italian car industries (can you guess which one that might be..?!?!). The industrial automation was very interesting, but they made me work just like a slave, so I left the slave market for the INFN/LNGS Computing Centre. Here I perform several tasks, from programming to keeping the Computing Centre tidy... ("Nothing changes on New Year's Day" - U2). At the moment, my main task is the Administration/Management of the UNIX Cluster.
Works/Publications:
I'm also interested in music (mainly Jazz, Blues & Celtic Folk), photography & graphics, travels (my Irish heartbeat...), HRH, and other thousands of things... My family-tree will be available shortly!
